Inherited from Magadhi Prakrit 𑀫𑀦𑀼𑀱𑁆𑀱 (manuṣṣa), from Sanskrit मनुष्य (manuṣya), from Proto-Indo-Aryan *manuṣyás, from Proto-Indo-Iranian *manušyás, from Proto-Indo-European *monusyós (man, human). Doublet of মিনসে (minośe) and মনিষ (moniś).
