אימץ / אִמֵּץ • (ʾiméts) third-singular masculine past (pi'el construction, passive counterpart אומץ / אֻמַּץ)

1. to adopt

   דָּנִי וְאִשְׁתּוֹ יְאַמְּצוּ בֵּן. ― dáni v'ishtó y'amtsú bén. ― Dani and his wife will adopt a son.
