From Byzantine Greek αδράχτι (adrákhti), from Koine Greek ἀδράκτιον (adráktion), a diminutive of Ancient Greek ἄδρακτος (ádraktos), from Ancient Greek ἄτρακτος (átraktos).
Compare Mariupol Greek дърахт (ðraxt).
