Verb[edit]

кати́ть (katítʹimpf (perfective покати́ть)

  1. to roll, to push (some object with wheels)
    кати́ть бо́чкуkatítʹ bóčkuturn in, blow the whistle
  2. (colloquial) to drive (quickly)
  3. (a car etc.) to bowl along

Usage notes[edit]

кати́ть (katítʹ) and покати́ть (pokatítʹ) are Russian concrete verbs. Their counterpart, ката́ть (katátʹ), is an abstract verb.
