Related to Finnish kermikkä. Cognate with Northern Sami čearpmat, Southern Sami tjearmehke, Lule Sami tjermak, Inari Sami čiermih, Skolt Sami čiõrmiǩ and Akkala Sami [script needed] (čirmek).
