Etymology[edit]

Borrowed from Iranian. Compare Avestan 𐬟𐬭𐬀𐬱𐬀 (fraša), Old Persian [script needed] (fraša-), Middle Persian [script needed] (fraš-, spectacular, conspicuous) and the first part of Old Georgian ფარშამანგი (paršamangi).
