Etymology[edit]
From ایكنه (iğne, “needle; pin”) + ـلمك (-lemek, suffix forming infinitives from nouns or adjectives).

- (transitive) to needle, to pierce with a needle, especially for sewing or acupuncture
- (transitive) to pin, pin down, pin up, to attach, secure, or fasten something with pins
