Pronunciation[edit]
Noun[edit]

Etymology 2[edit]
Pronunciation[edit]
Verb[edit]
بِيْقَل or بيقل • (biygul or biyigul)
- second-person masculine singular present continuous of قال
- بِيقل لي إنُّه ما حَيِقْدر يجي
- biygulli innu ma ḥayigdar yiji
- He’s telling me that he won’t come
Usage notes[edit]
Indirect object pronouns (لي, لها, لهم etc.) shorten long vowels when added after hollow present verb forms (e.g قول, شوف, عيد etc.), so the verb يقول (yigūl) becomes يِقُول لك (yigullak) or يِقُل لك (yigullak) depending on the writer.
Alternative forms[edit]
- بِيْقول (biygūl)
