Etymology 1[edit]

Inherited from Proto-Turkic *tölek (tranquil, sedate, quiet) and thus related to دولنمك (dölenmek, to rest, calm down); cognate with Chuvash тӳлек (tülek), Chagatai [script needed] (tölek) and Middle Mongol [script needed] (dolüeyen).
