Etymology[edit]

Borrowed from either French loge (theater box; lodge) or Italian loggia (loge; lodge). Doublet of لونجه (lonca, guild, corporation).

Noun[edit]

لوجه (loca)

  1. loge, box, a compartment to sit inside in an auditorium, courtroom, theatre, or other similar building
  2. lodge, the basic organisational unit of Freemasonry and the building in which such a unit meets
