ماہ (māh, moon) +‎ جبین (jabīn, forehead)
Borrowed from Classical Persian ماه‌جبین (mâh-jabīn, literally moon-like forehead), ultimately compound of Classical Persian ماه (mâh, moon) and Arabic جبين (jabīn, forehead). Doublet of ماہ‌سیما (māh-sīmā).
