Inherited from Prakrit *𑀓𑀸𑀠-𑀕 (*kāḍha-ga). Compare Gujarati કાઢો (kāḍho), Marathi काढा (kāḍhā), Sindhi ڪاڙهو / काढ़ो, Marwari काढौ (kāḍhau), Punjabi ਕਾੜ੍ਹਾ (kāṛhā) / کاڑھا (kāṛhā), Maithili काढ़ा (kāṛhā) / 𑒏𑒰𑒜𑓃𑒰 (kāṛhā).
