From ܡ̣ܢ (min), by assimilation of the /n/ to the following consonant; compare Hebrew מִ־ (mi-).

- In current usage and in many dialects this word is mostly synonymous with ܡ̣ܢ (min) except for being preferred in combination with the following word or in various fixed expressions.
