Literally, “His eyes have gouged out of his head.”
Phrase[edit]
ܥܲܝ̈ܢܹܗ ܦ̈ܠܝܼܛܹܐ ܡܸܢ ܪܹܝܫܹܗ • (ˁaynēh plīṭē min rēšēh)
- used for someone who is extremely insolent, impudent
- ܠܵܐ ܟܹܐ ܡܲܨܸܬ݂ ܠܵܐ ܠܐܸܡܹܗ ܘܠܵܐ ܠܒܵܒܹܗ، ܥܲܝܢܹܗ ܦ̈ܠܝܼܛܹܐ ܡ̣ܢ ܪܹܝܫܹܗ
- lā kē maṣṣiṯ lā l-immēh w-lā lbābēh, ˁaynēh plīṭē min rēšēh
- He doesn’t heed his mother nor his father, he is very insolent
