Etymology[edit]
Bahuvrīhi compound of तोता (totā, “parrot”) + चश्म (caśma, “eyes”), meaning parrot-eyed. A parrot is supposedly said to be disloyal as at the right opportunity it leaves its owner even after being done good to.
