Borrowed from Classical Persian درهم (dirham), from Arabic دِرْهَم (dirham), from Middle Persian 𐭦𐭥𐭦𐭭 (drahm), from Ancient Greek δραχμή (drakhmḗ). Doublet of दाम (dām).
