- Named after the mentioned soup, a famous dish of Thailand; later inspired the name วิกฤตแฮมเบอร์เกอร์ (wí-grìt hɛm-bəə-gə̂ə, “Hamburger crisis”), a Thai slang for the subprime mortgage crisis which took place in the United States between 2007 and 2010.[1]
