โลกธรรม (lôok-gà-tam)

  1. a condition, circumstance, fact, or situation that usually or naturally happens in the world.
  2. (Buddhism) any of the eight worldly conditions, divided into the following four pairs, that humans ought to understand so as to not be affected or influenced by them:
    1. gain, loss;
    2. fame, ill fame;
    3. praise, blame;
    4. happiness, misery.
