Etymology[edit]

From Proto-Georgian-Zan *wenaq-. The sense development "grapevine" → "vineyard" is also seen in Old Armenian այգի (aygi).

Usage notes[edit]

In translations, corresponds to Old Armenian որթ (ortʻ), այգի (aygi), այգեստան (aygestan), and ուռ (uṙ).
