Etymology[edit]

From თბილი (tbili, warm) with the verb არს (ars, to be). The verb soon turned impersonal and got new screeve forms (თბილოდა (tbiloda), თბილოდეს (tbilodes)).

  1. (impersonal) to be warm (weather), when it's less than hot and pleasantly so.

    dɣes mziani amindia da tbila.
    It is sunny and warm today.
