Balinese[edit]

Letter[edit]

()

  1. A letter of the Balinese script. Bearing the name adeg-adeg, it is used on a consonant to suppress the inherent vowel /a/ or /ə/ (i.e. while ᬦ is read as "na", ᬦ᭄ is read as "n"). Thus, it's the Balinese script's version of the virama found in other Brahmic scripts.
