Etymology[edit]

From Proto-Semitic *liลกฤn- (โ€œtongueโ€). The reconstruction as /laลกanu/ is based on the syllabic cuneiform spelling ๐’†ท๐’Šญ๐’‰ก (la-ลกa-nu) found on the text of the Syllabary A Vocabulary.[1]
