Borrowed from French Agadir, from Arabic أَكَادِير (ʔagādīr), from a Berber language (compare Central Atlas Tamazight and Tashelhit ⴰⴳⴰⴷⵉⵔ (agadir, wall)), ultimately from Punic 𐤂𐤃𐤓 (gdr /⁠gādīr⁠/, wall).
