The list seems incorrect.[edit]
The list does not distinguish between Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese names, and is incorrect on either account. It includes "Antônio" - a Brazillian spelling - and "António" - a Portuguese spelling. Since the list is identified as being of Hypocoristics for Portuguese names, some corrections should be made. Most obvious of all, in addition to "Antônio" being incorrect in this context, the most common and popular, and indeed obvious, hypocoristic is lacking, and that would be "Tó". "Tôni" would be "Tóni". There are many other errors and the list cannot be taken by anyone to be accurate. Or rather, the names listed there are correct, but for someone looking for Portuguese names it includes too many Brazilian hypocoristics not used in Portugal, and vice-versa for someone looking for Brazilian names and hypocoristics.
