Established by Austin Bradford Hill (1897–1991), English epidemiologist and statistician, in 1965.

Bradford Hill criteria pl (normally plural, singular Bradford Hill criterion)

  1. (epidemiology) A group of nine principles, widely used in public health research, that can be useful in establishing epidemiologic evidence of a causal relationship between a presumed cause and an observed effect.
