- A pretty useless category. A pump isn't even a kind of pump, so it doesn't even belong in the category. I suppose it could be filled if someone knows terms for pumps. —CodeCat 20:10, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
- The Archimedean screw is an early type of pump. Beyond that, I am sure there are other technical terms for pumps, though I don't know any. Wikipedia actually has a quite a list, but they can probably all be defined as sums of parts. Though some might not be. E.g. a lobe pump doesn't seem obvious in how it works from the name.
