Etymology[edit]

Named after Russian gynecologist S. N. Davydov, who popularized the procedure in the 1960s.[1][2]

Davydov procedure (plural Davydov procedures)

  1. (surgery) A form of vaginoplasty in which the patient's peritoneum is used to construct a neovagina or to lengthen an abnormally short vagina.
