Borrowed from Latin Eulalia, from Ancient Greek Εὐλαλία (Eulalía), specially used after Eulalia of Barcelona, copatron saint of the city. Cognate with French Eulalie, Galician Olalla, Spanish Eulalia and Asturian Olaya.
