Original Untitled Entry

Hi Everyone,

Can someone help me out please. I know that we can make 2-column lists suitable for translations via Top - Mid - Bottom templates. Is there any way to create similar 3-column lists without the use in derived terms and relative terms. (Preferably in white background).

I for one, would not mind it if you created {{topw}} (for white.) I have seen some unusual column proportions using SemperBlotto's technique (above.) I never saved it (the colours appendix, I believe,) as the preview came out consistently wrong. --Connel MacKenzie 22:12, 11 July 2005 (UTC)

For the various names listings, I made and use {{top4}} & {{mid4}} in conjunction with {{bottom}} to do four-columned output. Note that regular top and mid (for translations) need to have column width specified, or the alignment no longer matches, especially for articles that have multiple translation sections. 2, 3, 4 columns will likely all have the same need for precise width specification. --Connel MacKenzie 21:42, 21 August 2005 (UTC)

how do i find root words in this site? I would like to know how to.

Simple example

Is this correct? Under the head Editing both Entry layout explained and further along that line simple example point to the same place via WT:ELE. Is this what was intended? —Saltmarsh 06:45, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

The "simple example" used to point to the "Hrunk" entry, which later evolved into WT:ELE. Somewhere along the way, WT:ELE superseded Help:Editing too. I believe there is a subsection in WT:ELE that has an example, so that should probably deep-link to that #section instead. --Connel MacKenzie 07:43, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

I'm thinking to link it to the "#A_very_simple_example" section of "WT:ELE" as "simple example".

Help has "Introduction to this project", "Frequently asked questions", "Basic introduction to editing" and other nice explanations. What about straightforward instructions for adding an antonym or synonym for a word in the Wiktionary. I thought of adding an antonym for "intact" and was baffled. Thanks and best regards, ... Good point people for Wiktionary to help new users?

Hi everyone. I'm looking to gather 1-3 contacts for Wiktionary who would be interested in serving as point people for new editors from Wikipedia. I don't expect that it'll be too time consuming, but, just in case we have a new editor stop by the Teahouse who expresses interest in participating in media contributions and you can be friendly and welcome them and perhaps direct them to an area that might interest them. Help:Category

I'm confused by the directions on how to add an entry to a category because entries already in a category don't have that addition visible.

Even more confusing is that the discussion page of Help:Category is not a discussion page.

from sarri.greek, newcomer: I just started studying HELP systematically.

• 1) in ALL PAGES section: what is the repetition of titles in italics? I've checked only 2, they seem identical?
• 2) The Sandbox link directs me to a table at a page I do not recognize. Is there a Sandbox with example boxes similar to gre.Sandbox ++2017.11.09: ok I found it, it is in result pages for missing words++

I am not aware of any Wiktionary equivalent of Wikipedia:Wikipedia records, but I have downloaded a copy of all English Wiktionary pages that is current as of 2021-09-01, so I wrote a simple script to see what I could find. The longest existing term I found in any language was:
