The title of the subject page confuses me because it seems unrelated to its content. --Ellmist Sunday, December 29th, 2002

Ditto. I came here looking for a clean way to start a page. ~jeff

I agree. User:FredFrog does noot seem to have contributed anything else either. It also reads like it could have been plagiarized from somewhere. It seems like some kind of vandalism which should be deleted. Eclecticology 00:24 Jan 16, 2003 (UTC)

I replaced the oxymoron stuff with a modified version of w:Wikipedia:how to start a page. -- Merphant 01:19 Jan 16, 2003 (UTC)

I noticed the change by User:Floccinaucinihilipilification that looks interesting. I was tempted to just hit rollback, but then again...why have that "shoot on sight" entry laying around as a live link? Why not have it perhaps redirect to the sandbox? I.e. Unwritten article. Hmmm. Not quite right... --Connel MacKenzie 05:40, 3 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Revision[edit]

I have significantly revised this page. Primarily I have trimmed excess verbiage, and tried to bring it in line with the KISS principle. With a page like this it's important to remember that its audience is complete beginners. The key question in their minds is "How?" Policy issues are meaningless until a person has figured out the basic "Hows".

I'll be glad to look at further suggestions. Eclecticology 22:58, 30 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Why is this page protected?[edit]

Can somebody please update the link Wiktionary:How to edit a page to Help:How to edit a page. Ncik 03:42, 16 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

I really want to understand what wikipedia is about and how useful it is. Help please.[edit]

Request[edit]

It must be included a link to wiktionary:Requested articles — This unsigned comment was added by Rider (talkcontribs).

Um, a page doesn't have to be requested. That page is just where people can drop page-titles that they aren't comfortable creating themselves. --Connel MacKenzie 15:10, 25 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
