From Middle English Hexhamschire; equivalent to Hexham + -shire.
Proper noun[edit]
Hexhamshire
- A civil parish in Northumberland to the south of Hexham.
- (historical) A county palatine centred on Hexham and covering a considerably larger area, incorporated into Northumberland in 1572.
