From German Hunsrückisch, a Moselle Franconian dialect spoken in Rhineland-Palatinate, from Hunsrück + -isch.

A Germanic language spoken by some 3 to 5 million people, mainly in southern Brazil. The vocabulary and pronunciation are influenced by Portuguese.
