The grass is commonly found in Kentucky, particularly in its Bluegrass region.

Kentucky bluegrass (countable and uncountable, plural Kentucky bluegrasses)
- Poa pratensis; a perennial species of grass native to practically all of Europe, North Asia and the mountains of Algeria and Morocco, and, while not native to North America, found across humid regions of the United States.
