- A hamlet in Martinhoe parish, North Devon district, Devon, England (OS grid ref SS6846).
- 1951 February, “Notes and News: Lynton & Barnstaple Remains”, in Railway Magazine, page 136:
- The area around Woody Bay Station has become known as Martinhoe Cross and the adjoining Woody Bay Hotel has been renamed, but the pillar-box is still marked "Woody Bay Sta."
Usage notes[edit]
The "cross" probably relates to a staggered crossroads, where two minor roads meet the main road (A39).
