Etymology[edit]

Borrowed from Hindustani रमज़ान (ramzān) / رمضان (ramzān) / Bengali রমজান (romzan) and other South Asian languages, from Classical Persian رمضان (ramazān), from Arabic رَمَضَان (ramaḍān).
