Proto-Tocharian[edit]
Etymology[edit]
Either from Proto-Indo-European *Heh₃l- (“elbow”) or from *h₂ewlos (“hollow”). In the former case, cognate with English elbow and Latin ulna, in the latter case cognate with Latin alvus.
