Usage notes[edit]

  1. When the word has two syllables and the suffix is used, haplology happens. The last vowel in the last syllable disappears.
    *semiŕ (fat) + ‎*-i → ‎*semri- (to fatten)
  2. Usually metathesis occurs during evolution in daughter languages.
