Why ending in consonant when all descendants end in vowel? "The Baltic forms derive from the plural, reanalysed as a singular. The Slavic form was back-formed from the plural". Doubtful. The BSl variant can be from Proto-Indo-European *mēms-ó-m. Ентусиастъ (talk) 19:46, 14 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
