The etymology from Proto-Indo-European *bʰenǵʰ- looks dubious. Proto-Indo-European *bʰenǵ- or *bʰeng- is necessary to give Proto-Germanic *bunk-, isn't it? Perhaps, an influence from Kluge's law should be mentioned at the very least (although there is no trace of Pre-Germanic *-nós participle here). Bezimenen (talk) 09:50, 2 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
