*sa- is not a grammatical prefix in proto-Indo-European. It may have existed as a dialectal variation, but the correct grammatical form is Proto-Indo-European *sem- or *sm̥-. Proto-Indo-Iranian *sa- specifically reflects the 0-grade form. Cognate with Proto-Slavic *sǫ-, Ancient Greek ἁ- (ha-), Old Armenian ամ- (am-) and further akin to Proto-Germanic *samaz (same).
