Isn't it more probable that *stolъ meant "chair, throne, residence" and the meaning "table" is secondary? Cf. OCS & Old Russian stolъ, Russian stolica = capital. 5.141.127.198 12:56, 31 December 2017 (UTC)
Is there evidence for meaning residence in any of the daughter languages? I couldn't find any, so I propose removing this sense or at least changing with court or hall, which are attested in derived terms. Безименен (talk) 13:58, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
