@Victar, @Rua, is this really from hūʀiju (payment, hire) + -ling (= "a diminutive payment") ? I would think that the individual hired would be derived from the verb *hūʀijan + -ling (= "a hired one/someone subservient for pay"). If so, then would the entry be *hūʀijaling or rather *hūʀiling ? @Leasnam: I don't think there is any way to tell the difference between *hūʀijuling and *hūʀijaling from its descendants, but I can see your semantics argument. I don't really have any opinion either way. --{{victar|talk}} 15:32, 3 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
