Short for replicating rapid-prototyper. The name, like the design, is not a trademark, but available for general use under an open licence.

  1. A 3D printer capable of printing most of its own components, so as to allow further printers to be created.
    I used my RepRap to print a new coat-hook and some parts for another RepRap.
