Etymology[edit]
Sadko + crater. Named after the mythic character Sadko (Садко (Sadko)) from a Russian epic poem (a bylina (были́на (bylína)), who journeys to the bottom of the sea.

- (geology, astronomy) A crater (impact feature) on Charon, the moon or binary companion of the dwarf planet Pluto.
