@PhanAnh123 “Derive” in linguistics is rarely used in the active voice in the past tense when said of a word (i.e. "the word derived from"). It is used usually in the passive voice, in either the present or the past tense ("the word is/was derived from"), or in the active voice, in the present tense ("the word derives from").
