"to emphasise a statement"?

@Sarri.greek: The usage note says that etymology 1, the negating particle, "may sometimes be used to emphasise a statement". Wouldn't that just be etymology 2 'also, but also'? —Mahāgaja · talk 08:31, 16 November 2022 (UTC)

Yes, @Mahagaja, as always, you are right. I added some examples & source because these tiny words are tricky.

PS. for ref templates that need to be repeated, if you agree, I could add a param |0=- at Template:R:DSMG, which takes away the data? (the double |00=- would take away the link). We use it at el.wikt a lot. + e.g. el:Template:Π:ΛΚΝ

@Sarri.greek: I've never seen a template use parameters named |0= or |00=. I think it would be confusing because numbers usually correspond to unnamed parameters (e.g. {{m|el|δε}} is the same thing as {{m|1=el|2=δε}}), but there is no such thing as a zeroth unnamed parameter. It'd be less confusing for others to use named parameters like |nodata=1 and |nolink=1. —Mahāgaja · talk 09:56, 16 November 2022 (UTC)

@Sarri.greek: No problem! Thinking about this particle reminds me of the time at university when, for a prank, we put a signs on the restroom doors in the building where Ancient Greek was taught.
