locative в вечеру́ can this be explained further?

в вечеру́ means the same as ве́чером (in the evening). You should be aware of в вечеру́ and understand it when you encounter it, but you probably should not use it. You will find it in older literature, such as works by Pushkin. These days, use ве́чером instead. —Stephen (Talk) 12:29, 3 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
