This is the English Wiktionary, yet this page is unintelligible and useless to an English reader or speaker not versed in reading Cyrillic..

There is no pronunciation or even transliteration for an Emglish speaker or reader to use.

It is only useful to a Russian reader.

What do you mean? I think it’s excellent. First, the infinitives are listed along with the English pronunciation, and then the definitions are given in English. The only part that lacks transliteration is the conjugation chart, and even there all of the tenses, persons, etc., are given in English. And anyone who actually needs to know how to conjugate a Russian verb will necessarily have to be at a stage where he can read Cyrillic. It is simply unreasonable to transliterate all the different verb forms.

We have begun putting not only conjugations, but also declensions of Russian verbs and nouns, and this adds tremendous value to these pages. I don’t think anyone would be willing to add these conjugation and declensions, and also provide them in transliteration.

As far as I can see, the only change that needs to be made on the page is the inclusion of the conjugation of one of the perfective infinitives, since the perfective conjugation is significantly different from the imperfective. I don’t believe any additional transliteration would be useful or even acceptable. —Stephen 11:48, 22 May 2005 (UTC)
