@Atitarev, Cinemantique Someone recently modified the pronunciation to phon=лу́тший. Is this correct? If so, should this assimilation apply to all occurrences of чш? Benwing2 (talk) 00:15, 14 June 2016 (UTC)

It looks correct. [ˈlut͡ʂʂɨj] is more accurate than [ˈlut͡ɕʂɨj]. Pronounced as in худший. Perhaps this assimilation should be automatic (regular) rather than using a phonetic respelling. I can't think of other occurrences of "-чш-". --Anatoli T. ^{(обсудить}/^вклад) 00:58, 14 June 2016 (UTC)

@Atitarev OK, I'll do that. The only other cases we have of чш are derivatives of лучший: лучше, наилучший, наилучше, улучшать, улучшаться, улучшить, улучшиться, улучшение. Benwing2 (talk) 01:35, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
