You're right but some authors think that it also means - physical, bodily, tangible, material as in "Некоторые вещи телесны, а некоторые — бестелесны, — писал Гай. Телесны те вещи, которые можно осязать, как земля, человек, одежда, золото, серебро и многое другое. Бестелесны же те, ....". Contrasting with "бестелесный" - "immaterial".
